Go to an academy for a level test / placement test

Free at The British Council. Write your country in the space to see the nearest centre near you.
Do an online FCE level test at mansioningles.com or flo-joe.co.uk

Do one or two use of English and reading tests. You need 60% to pass.

There is a level test on the Cambridge website, but it’s only 25 questions.
What do you do if you already have the level?

It’s a good idea to go to an academy and do a short course to prepare you for the exam. You need to study exam technique, timing, writing styles etc.

There are some example papers on the Cambridge website and some advice about how to prepare for the exam.
